S.S. Atlantic

Maiden voyage of the S.S. Atlantic, from New York City to Spain, ports of the Mediterranean Sea, and Israel in May 1960. Fireboats, small craft, airplanes, and helicopters provided the traditional harbor salute as the U.S. Merchant Marine ship moved out of its berth on the Hudson River to begin the voyage.
